Hi, I'm reupdating my bio.
I'm The Fire Magician and have gone by this name on the internet for about 4-5 years now back when I was on fanfiction.net, writing and reading various fanfiction.
Throughout the years here on DA I've written various fanfiction, participated in Role Playing, and drawn various sketches and digital art. I've witnessed the rising up of various dramas that occur in the community, though rarely participated in it myself and I consider myself more of a neutral individual and make my decisions based on logic.
I was once an exceedingly active part of the community and regularly bothered my friends on here to talk, though I've sort of fallen away from it all really. I don't have time to role play anymore and I've grown impatient with my drawings (along with my notsopowerful computer) so my artwork hasn't really improved at all in the past 3 years. In a sense, I've become more focused on my future and realized that drawing isn't going to be a huge part of it.
However, unlike my drawing abilities, I do kind of have a talent for writing. I believe that it is due to the fact that I read large bit of fiction over the years (translation: I love books). Essentially I have plans for writing. In the past I've free written and what I did write was adequate, though, thinking back on it, I didn't really have a plan for the plots and I believe that they wouldn't have ended as well as they could have (though I don't know that because a majority of the stories are unfinished). Right now, though, I'm world building for a series of books that I'm planning on writing in the future.
It will be a multiverse based "world" with varying settings and societies, from undersea anthropomorphic dragons to sentient time manipulating giant spiders. Some of the themes that will be discussed in the books will be death, inevitability, xenophobia, corruption, and mistakes.
There will be a range of magic systems and technologies, like one magic system that is based on linguistics and a device that is capable of warping space to make it take longer, or less time, to get from one place to another.
As the series progresses the characters will go through several dynamic changes, notably the main character. How dynamic? <_< Imagine Hitler killing the Jews one day and then essentially becoming Mother Teresa the next day. That dynamic.
The story will be written in 1st person limited (save for in certain instances) in order for the reader to be more pulled into the book, plus there aren't that many 1st person books nowadays.
Now, I've acknowledged some issues with writing a book that is set in a multiverse and so I've set up some rules for the multiverse so that certain problems will arise and for certain plot elements to be able to occur.
1. No Time Travel (to the past)
2. Everyone/thing born in a dimension is capable of existing in other dimensions.
3. Everyone/thing born in the In-Between is incapable of existing in more than one dimension. (unless their powers give them some work around)
4. Unique individuals can only be created through unique experiences.
5. Drastic changes into similarities ( or Aerex) will cause "collisions" between dimensions and, if not altered, will result in a singularity that will combine with the central singularity that keeps the multiverse from going off into random directions.
6. The sharing of information across dimensions will eventually bring about the Aerexian Effect.
7. Each dimension has its own specific rules in addition to the overall multiversal rules and outsiders will slowly conform to those rules, though, should information diffusion continue, the outsider's rules will slowly alter the rules of the other dimension.
8. Should various rules be broken in the story by the characters, eventually the very fabric of the multiverse will start to unravel and rules that would have previously been impossible to break would become nonexistent.
